The intersection of Maple Avenue and Reading Road in Avondale, where Williams spent his early childhood, has been officially designated as Katt Williams Way.

He has credited his upbringing in the state for fostering a unique sense of unity and appreciation for diversity. “Just being from Ohio gives you a whole experience that’s different from the rest of the United States,” Williams has said. “I know for me, just growing up in a place where one neighbor was black and one neighbor was white, racism just wasn’t where we were at. We appreciated both sides of things.”

Recently, streets have been renamed to celebrate local legends such as boxing coach Michael Stafford and musicians Bootsy Collins, Otis Williams, and Philip Paul.
