Cincinnati Reds Honor Marty Brennaman with Bronze Statue

The Cincinnati Reds are paying tribute to one of their most beloved figures, Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman, with a bronze statue outside Great American Ball Park.

Known as the voice of the Reds for an incredible 46 years, Brennaman’s legacy has shaped generations of fans, bringing the magic of baseball to life through his storytelling and passion for the game.

The statue, created by renowned local artist Tom Tsuchiya, will depict Brennaman at his iconic position behind the microphone, a posture Reds fans have come to associate with some of the most unforgettable moments in the team’s history.

Placed near the Reds’ front office building and facing Joe Nuxhall Way, the statue will be a welcoming presence for visitors entering Crosley Terrace, serving as a lasting reminder of Brennaman’s unmatched contribution to Reds baseball and the Cincinnati community.

“This sculpture will be a tribute to Marty Brennaman’s incredible legacy and represents all that he means to Reds Country,” Reds President and CEO Phil Castellini said. “For nearly five decades, Marty was the voice of the Reds, bringing unforgettable moments to life for generations of fans. Now, his presence outside Great American Ball Park will be a lasting reminder of his passion and love for this team and this city.”

A dedication ceremony for the statue is set for Saturday, September 6, 2025, just before the Reds face the New York Mets.

The event is sure to be emotional for fans, reflecting on the broadcaster’s decades of steadfast commitment.

Fundraising efforts to support the sculpture are being spearheaded by the Reds Hall of Fame, with IT company Encore Technologies as the lead sponsor.

John Burns, Founder and CEO of Encore Technologies, remarked:

“Throughout Reds Country, Marty’s name is synonymous with Reds baseball, and his bronze sculpture, alongside other Reds legends at the ballpark, will remind fans of his contributions to the game and to our community.”

For those who grew up listening to Marty Brennaman’s voice echo across the airwaves, the statue is more than a physical tribute–it’s a symbol of the love and reverence Cincinnati has for its beloved broadcaster.

Generations of Reds fans will now have an enduring piece of history to visit, ensuring Brennaman’s legacy remains as timeless as the game he so faithfully described.
