On Twitter, there have been more than 600,000 mentions of the case and counting, the Associated Press reported. A single “Justice for Trayvon Martin” Facebook page, created by hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons’ website GlobalGrind.com, has brought in more than 82,000 “likes” alone.

The support for Trayvon and his family has come from many places. These were just some of the most moving!

Not surprised. But distraught. Saw ‘Fruitvale Station’ tonight. How ironic to come home to this verdict.

If George #Zimmerman had not had a gun, he’d have never got out of his car that night, and Trayvon Martin would still be alive.
