Smitherman Explains Council Lawsuit To Lincoln
Is the honeymoon already over for city council? This week, council voted to change the rules in the city charter that would give the mayor more power. With a 6 to 3 vote, city council gave the mayor more power with his “pocket veto”. This means that the mayor does not have to bring up a bill for a vote, if suppose a council member proposes one.
